BBQ tips

Light your BBQ well in advance, making sure you use enough charcoal. Wait until it glows red with a powdery grey surface before cooking. Please remember to keep children and animals clear at all times.

Lightly marinade meat in spicy sauces and oils overnight to allow the flavour to develop fully before cooking. Continue to baste products on the BBQ to stop the meat drying out.

We recommend you pre-cook all food before placing on the BBQ, as this will ensure that it's cooked right through. Finishing it off on the BBQ will give you a lightly charcoaled and smoked flavour.

Be sure raw products do not get mixed with cooked meats or salads. Also make sure you wash your hands and utensils thoroughly after touching raw meat and before eating.

If using wooden skewers to make kebabs, soak them in water first as this will help stop them becoming burnt by the BBQ's intense heat or any flames.
