Know your chicken

Lloyd Maunder works with local farmers to rear chicken in four different systems. Three of these are 'higher welfare' and now represent 60 per cent of the company's total output.

Cobb, a traditional breed of meat chicken, is reared on Lloyd Maunder's Assured Chicken Production (ACP) standard farms, whilst the company's own Devonshire Red breed is reared in the three higher welfare systems - free range, organic and Freedom Food.
