The Hatch Factor

Hatch Devonshire Red chicks in the classroom.

This is a fun educational scheme that gives Key Stage One children firsthand experience of the life cycle of chicken, by hatching them in the classroom. It provides an exciting springboard for learning across a range of curriculum areas, with schemes of work and teaching aids supplied as part of the kit.

Even celebrity chef Jamie Oliver is a Hatch Factor fan. "Me and my girls did The Hatch Factor at home.  It was amazing.  For them to see the chicks emerging from the eggs, then holding them when they're all fluffed up, its something all kids should get to do."
